I started breeding in 2006 when I became an empty nester. I thought I would have a litter with my yellow lab, Amber and a friend’s black and white parti standard poodle, Toz to fill my extra time. Little did I know after retiring from 30 years in advertising and marketing I would now find my perfect job.
Cody is my right hand. Cody helps with everything from being my 2nd set of hands during delivery to make sure the puppies are fed, clean and playing happily. In addition to being wonderful, Cody has a tech background and takes care of our website.
Melissa bought her first puppy from me in 2014, our lovable Hank. It only took one year for Melissa to become a guardian home for Hazel. With Hazel’s litters Melissa became our first puppy raiser. Hazel has retired but Melissa is still loving her job as our puppy raiser.
Diane joined us as a guardian family for Piper. After Piper’s first litter that Melissa raised, Diane said “I can do that”. Diane was a volunteer for the Smithtown Guide Dog Foundation for many years as a puppy raiser. This along with being a registered nurse makes her perfect for this roll of puppy raiser.
Jake is our high school student who assists Cody and makes sure all the puppies are loved and hugged. Jake helps with each stage of the puppies development to assure that outstanding personality all our puppies have. Jake got his first labradoodle Abby from Labradoodles of Long Island in 2012 only to come back in 2018 to be the Guardian Family for Luna.
Donielle is known better as Jake’s mom around here. If it wasn’t for Donielle I wouldn’t get any paperwork done. She keeps the office end of breeding running smoothly. We often find Donielle away from her desk and sitting in a whelping box or outside playing with our older puppies. Donielle continues to work on her husband for a third Labradoodle.
